Trump threatens to move World Cup 2026 matches: named dangerous cities in the USA
US President Donald Trump expressed the possibility of moving World Cup matches from some cities in the USA. He noted that this could happen if conditions arise that make a city unsafe for holding the tournament.
«This is an interesting question. We need to take care of their safety. Seattle and San Francisco are run by radical left lunatics who do not understand what they are doing. We will go to Chicago, Memphis, and other cities. It will be safe there. If I decide that it is unsafe there - we will definitely move it to another city,» Trump said.
The president also emphasized that he does not have the authority to move World Cup matches from any city in the USA. Such a decision is based on security considerations and risk assessment.
