U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin have tentatively agreed to halt airstrikes between Ukraine and Russia. This was reported by The Economist journalist Oliver Carroll on social media X, citing his own sources.
'We believe the sky will signal prior results of these negotiations. Next week will be interesting,' the source said.
However, advisor to Zelensky on communications Dmitry Lytvyn denied the information about the air truce before the trilateral meeting of leaders. According to him, Ukraine has not heard anything yet about a preliminary agreement regarding this.
'We have not heard anything about this yet,' Lytvyn wrote on social media X.
During the meeting in a 'three on three' format on the night of August 15, Trump and Putin discussed key issues, but there are still no final confirmations regarding the cessation of airstrikes.
