Trump on the war in Ukraine: new statements and drone attacks on Crimea

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed his opinion regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, stating that Ukraine needs Patriot air defense systems and long-range Tomahawk missiles. He also noted that Ukrainian fighters deserve respect and threatened Russia with a new phase of escalation of the conflict if necessary.

In Crimea, which is temporarily occupied, there were attacks on an oil depot using drones, which led to a large-scale fire. Also, Russian troops shelled the cities of Kharkiv and Sumy, damaging residential and non-residential buildings.

Information about the damages and casualties from these attacks remains unknown, however, Ukrainian rescue services are providing necessary assistance to those affected.

It is positive that support for Ukrainian fighters has been expressed and threats against Russia have been made, but the attacks in Crimea and bombings in Ukraine are serious events that could lead to further escalation of the conflict.
