Rescuers of the State Emergency Service mastered off-road vehicles: how this will change operations in rough terrain
Three days of hard training — and another important step has been taken to enhance the mobility of rescuers. Our specialists completed the Basic Off-Road Driving course organized by the Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation. The training started as part of a series of workshops that will help rescuers act confidently even where there are practically no roads, and help needs to arrive as quickly as possible.
During the three days, rescuers practiced driving off-road vehicles in challenging conditions, working on routes that may occur during real emergencies. Instructors shared practical experience, teaching how to work with special equipment and skills for safe and effective movement.
Training Process and Important Skills
Great attention was paid to team interaction, clear communication, and coordination of actions in stressful situations, as well as working with rescue equipment — winches, block systems, rigging, etc. After the course, the units received full-fledged rigging rescue kits, and participants received certificates of completion.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine thanks the Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation and Nova Ukraine for their support — there will be even more such training for our rescuers ahead.
Ukrainian rescuers successfully completed the Basic Off-Road Driving course, gaining new skills and equipment that will further enhance their effectiveness in operations. The training process is aimed at improving the level of preparedness and safety of rescuers in emergency situations.
