Which professions in Ukraine saw the biggest salary increase over the year

In Ukraine, salaries increased the most over the year in the fields of advertising, trade, and construction. The absolute leader in terms of salary growth was the copywriter, whose median salary almost doubled. This was reported by Ekonomichna Pravda.

Salary Growth in Ukraine: Who Earned the Most Over the Year

According to OLX Work analytics, from March 2025 to March 2026, the biggest increase was recorded for copywriters in the advertising/design/PR category. Their income rose from 12,500 to 24,500 UAH, which is +96%.

The top three also included:

  • trade supervisor - +64% to 45,000 UAH;
  • auditor in the accounting field - +45% to 27,500 UAH.

A significant salary increase was also noted among skilled professions. This indicates a growing demand for technical specialties and personnel in production.

Among such job vacancies:

  • production assistant - up to 30,000 UAH (+41%);
  • commodity expert - up to 25,000 UAH (+39%);
  • plumber - up to 40,500 UAH (+35%);
  • bodyworker in a car service - up to 60,000 UAH (+33%).

Salaries in the services sector have also increased. In particular, cosmetologists earn an average of 26,250 UAH (+31%). The top ten included client managers and bricklayers, who also demonstrated growth around +31%.

Salary Dynamics in Ukraine: Which Professions Increased Over Several Years

Analysts also compared salary levels with March 2022. In this case, the growth rates turned out to be even more pronounced, especially in the service sector and construction.

The most significant income increases were observed in the following professions:

  • animator - from 5,000 to 19,500 UAH (almost 4 times);
  • cosmetologist - from 7,088 to 26,250 UAH (3.7 times);
  • photographer - from 9,000 to 27,250 UAH (3 times).

The construction specialties also showed significant growth:

  • plumber - in 3.2 times (to 40,500 UAH);
  • general laborer - in 3.1 times (to 25,375 UAH);
  • painter - in 3 times (to 45,000 UAH);
  • tiler - in 2.9 times (to 50,000 UAH);
  • plasterer - in 2.8 times (to 70,000 UAH);
  • constructor - in 2.5 times (to 45,000 UAH).

The ten professions with the highest long-term growth ends with the dentist: his salary increased by 2.4 times - from 16,500 to 40,000 UAH.

Overall, analytics indicate significant changes in the labor market, where demand for certain professions stimulates rapid income growth.

It should be noted that over the past four years, the Ukrainian labor market has significantly changed: salaries have increased, the structure of vacancies has changed, and employer priorities have shifted. Compared to pre-war 2022, the median salary in the country increased by almost 94%.
