Heating season disrupted in Crimea
Крим не отримує тепла: причини невдачі у запуску систем опалення від загарбників.

In many cities of the temporarily occupied Crimea, there have been problems with the start of the heating season: residents complain about the lack of heat, and utility services are unable to fix the breakdowns in the heating networks, reports 'Glavkom' citing Russian media. In Simferopol, many houses and streets remain without heating, which causes outrage among the local population. Breakdowns in the heating networks complicate the situation and force utility workers to operate in emergency mode. The delay in starting the heating season is due not only to inadequate preparation for winter but also to the physical wear and tear of the heating networks, which cannot withstand the load in areas with intense construction. Politician Stepan Kiskin demands accountability for this situation, and experts point out the possibility of falsification of readiness certificates for buildings. Emergencies, such as on Lermontov Street in Simferopol, make the situation even more complicated. In the temporarily occupied Crimea, there are not only problems with starting the heating season but also large-scale violations of human rights, including the detention of over 220 political prisoners.
