Strong explosions occurred in Belgorod

According to glavcom.ua: On the night of July 17, powerful explosions occurred in the Russian city of Belgorod, which local residents associate with a drone attack. After 10 PM, panic broke out in the city due to a series of explosions accompanied by smoke and fire.

As reported by 'Glavcom' citing Russian media, the governor of Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, confirmed information about the drone attack.

Consequences of the explosions

In the video published online, a series of loud explosions can be seen, leading to thick clouds of smoke. As a result of the incident, there are injured and dead, and private homes were also damaged.

Strike on a facility in Russia

On July 1, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a facility of the Russian military-industrial complex - the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant 'Kupol'. The operation was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine together with other components of the defense sector. This action was aimed at undermining the Russian air defense.
