On the border with Romania, remains of a detainee for illegal crossing were found

Last night, soldiers of the 'Velyatino' border guard unit of the Mukachevo group discovered human remains. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' referring to the State Border Guard Service.

During the patrol of the Ukrainian-Romanian section of the border in the area of Mount Frasin, the patrol stumbled upon fragments of a human skeleton, which, likely due to wild animals, was damaged and incomplete. Experts will determine the cause of death. The border guards informed the police about the discovery of human remains.

Along with the human bones, the border patrol found fragments of clothing, documents, a camouflaged backpack, and a bag. The documents belonged to a 36-year-old native of Luhansk region, who was detained by border guards in November 2023. At that time, he was fined by the Khust District Court for attempting to illegally enter Romania.

In addition, recently, a human skeleton was also discovered in the mountains by border guards of the 'Shybeny' unit (Ivano-Frankivsk region). There were no documents to identify this person. The border guards also informed the staff of the National Police about this fact.

Ukrainian border guards have once again faced mysterious deaths at the border. Currently, experts are investigating the circumstances of the deaths of individuals and the possibility of their identification and the potential causes that led to these events.
