Kyiv’s Northern Bridge to Face Partial Closure for Three Days
Traffic Restrictions in Kyiv
According to Главком: From June 19 to June 22, traffic on the Northern Bridge in Kyiv will be partially restricted due to asphalt repairs. The restrictions will be in effect from 11:00 AM on June 19 until 7:00 AM on June 22. Road crews will be working on the asphalt concrete surface in lanes three and four, specifically in the direction of the Pochaina metro station. During the work, traffic will be rerouted to the far-right lane and the second lane.
Additionally, traffic restrictions on the overpass at the intersection of Kiltseva Road and Lesya Kurbasa Avenue will continue until July 5. A major overhaul of Mіska Street, which began in March, is also ongoing. Road workers have already laid over 600 meters of new storm drainage.
Pedestrian access on the bridge at the intersection of Beresteiskyi Avenue and Kiltseva Road will be limited until September 15. Kyivavtodor apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and asks everyone to factor these restrictions into their route planning.
Why These Repairs Matter
These traffic restrictions on key transport arteries in Kyiv are tied to essential repair work, reflecting a systematic effort to improve the city’s road infrastructure. Given the capital’s ongoing congestion challenges, these measures are critical for enhancing safety and comfort for both drivers and pedestrians.
Be sure to note the changes in traffic patterns to avoid delays while traveling through the city.
In addition to the upcoming restrictions on the Northern Bridge, motorists should also be aware of the planned repairs on the Palladin Overpass. These closures are part of a broader initiative to enhance Kyiv’s transportation infrastructure, which aims to address ongoing traffic issues and ensure safer travel throughout the city.
