Kyiv's Seasonal Markets Arrive

According to Главком: On June 6 and 7, seasonal markets will open across multiple districts of Kyiv, offering residents fresh produce and other goods directly from producers. The Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development of the Kyiv City State Administration announced the schedule, highlighting the opportunity for locals to shop at affordable prices.

Market Locations

On June 6, markets will operate in the following areas:

  • Holosiivskyi District - on Pankivska Street (between Saksahanskoho and Zhylianska streets) and Holosiivska Street, 4-10;
  • Darnytskyi District - on Revutskoho Street;
  • Desnianskyi District - on Mykoly Zakrevskoho Street (between Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue, 2-A and Ronalda Reihana Street);
  • Dniprovskyi District - on Vsevoloda Nestayka Street (near the Left Bank post office);
  • Obolonskyi District - on Petra Kalnyshevskoho Street, 1-5, and Yordanska Street, 1-9;
  • Podilskyi District - on Stepana Bandery Avenue (near Kurenivskyi Park);
  • Solomianskyi District - on Akademika Shalimova Street (between Liubomyra Huzara Avenue, 28 and Vasylia Chumaka Street);
  • Shevchenkivskyi District - on Bohdana Havrylyshyna Street, 7-11.

On June 7, markets will be held at these locations:

  • Holosiivskyi District - on Samiila Kishky Street (between Yulii Zdanovskoi and Vasylia Kasiana streets);
  • Darnytskyi District - on Zdolbunivska Street, 4;
  • Dniprovskyi District - on Ihoria Yukhnovskoho Street (between Raiduzhnoi and Starosilskoi streets);
  • Pecherskyi District - on Dzhona Makkeina Street (between Ioanna Pavla II and Dmytra Doroshenka streets);
  • Shevchenkivskyi District - on Tatarska Street, 32-38.

Additionally, several municipal markets operate regularly in Kyiv, including:

  • Volodymyrskyi Market at Antonovycha Street, 115;
  • Zhyitnii Market at Verkhnii Val Street, 16;
  • Bessarabskyi Market at Bessarabska Square, 2.

Meanwhile, the price of young green peas has dropped sharply-almost threefold over the past week. Just a week ago, it cost 600 hryvnias per kilogram. In late May, strawberry sales surged at city markets, reflecting strong demand for fresh berries.

These seasonal markets not only help residents find fresh food but also support local producers, boosting the city's economy. The significant price drop for green peas suggests improved supply, making essential goods more accessible to shoppers.
