This species, a close relative of the magnolia, is drawing attention from both locals and visitors for its striking appearance. According to the district's municipal greenery maintenance authority, the tree has been blooming annually for several consecutive years. Remarkably, its ancient ancestors thrived across Eurasia during the Cretaceous period, roughly 100 million years ago.

The capital is also seeing notable changes in its approach to urban landscaping. In 2024, the number of city-managed areas with restricted grass mowing expanded to 119 locations, covering a total of 251 hectares.
