A memorial service is taking place at the Archcathedral of St. George (5 St. George Square). According to police, more than 500 people attended, reports a correspondent of 'Glavkom'.
Despite the large number of people around the Archcathedral, there is a silence. Many politicians and colleagues of Andriy Parubiy arrived for the memorial service, including MP of four convocations Serhiy Pashynsky, people's deputy Mykola Knyazhytskyi, MP Maria Ionova, and Mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klitschko.

On Tuesday, September 2, at 12:00 in the Cathedral of St. George, the funeral service will begin. At 13:30, a city-wide farewell ceremony will take place at Rynok Square. After this, Parubiy will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery. It is worth noting that 'Radio Svoboda', citing sources, reported that the suspect in the killing of people's deputy, former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy confessed to the crime and spoke about his contacts with representatives of the Russian Federation.

According to media sources, the man contacted representatives of the Russian Federation while trying to find his son, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who went missing. It is noted that the resident of Lviv began to monitor Russian social networks to find more information about his son's fate. The suspect, according to sources, told his contacts in the Russian Federation that he lives in Lviv and mentioned Andriy Parubiy, whom he allegedly saw 'more than once'.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine stated the possible involvement of Russian special services in the murder of people's deputy Andriy Parubiy. According to preliminary data, the crime had signs of being ordered, and operational information indicates a 'Russian trace' in its organization. The Deputy Head of the National Police Andriy Nebytov named the version regarding the Russian trace in the case of the murder of people's deputy Andriy Parubiy a priority direction of the investigation.
