A time capsule found in Lviv during the dismantling of the Hill of Glory
According to glavcom.ua: A time capsule was discovered in Lviv during the exhumation of Soviet burials at the former Hill of Glory on Pasichna Street. Inside, there was a glass bottle containing the award sheet of pilot and Hero of the Soviet Union Mykhailo Likhovyd, dated 1963. The history of the Soviet serviceman, documented on three pages of a letter, will be studied by scientists and later exhibited in the museum 'Territory of Terror'.
Pavel Bohaychyk, the head of LKP 'Lychakiv Cemetery', reported that the capsule was found in one of the mass graves.
Sviatoslav Sheremeta, the head of the 'Dolia' center, provided information that the capsule was located under the top of the third mass grave. Historians will have the opportunity to study the materials and learn about the fate of the deceased serviceman.
Olha Honchar noted that since 2023, the museum has been keeping dismantled sculptures from this location, and this year, elements of the former memorial's fence have been received, and the structure of the 'eternal flame' is awaited.
