MOH is acquiring new MRI machines for hospitals: what other equipment will Lviv region receive
During a working trip to the Lviv region, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko visited the University Hospital of the Lviv National Medical University named after Daniel Halitsky - LNMU and the Lviv Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital.
The primary focus during the visit was on the technical re-equipment of hospitals and improving the conditions for providing medical assistance within the framework of public investment projects.
Updating equipment and infrastructure
During the visit to the University Hospital, the Minister became acquainted with the installation of a new 1.5 Tesla magnetic resonance imager, which will allow for high-precision non-invasive diagnostics.
An identical piece of equipment was also delivered to the National Scientific Center of Surgery and Transplantology in Kyiv. The acquisition was made with state funds on behalf of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Updating the infrastructure of the psychiatric hospital
During a meeting with the administration of the regional psychiatric hospital, the happy update of the facility's infrastructure, which supports over 30 thousand patients, was discussed. In particular, the second phase of reconstruction is ongoing, during which over 5,000 sq. m of hospital premises have been modernized.
The visit paid attention to improving the conditions for providing medical assistance and updating the infrastructure of medical institutions. New equipment and modernization of premises will contribute to enhancing the quality of medical services for patients.
