The NABU stated that the employee's involvement with the Russian special services has not been confirmed
According to glavcom.ua: The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) announced that they have no evidence or confirmations that a NABU employee passed information to the Russian special services. This information was reported by the publication 'Glavkom'.
In August 2023, NABU received a message from the Security Service regarding possible risks associated with one of the bureau's employees, who previously worked in the State Protection Administration. According to the service, this employee transmitted information about citizens of Ukraine to one of the UDO employees from 2012 to 2015.
“The National Bureau immediately began to establish the circumstances. NABU's principled position is to uncover all circumstances, regardless of the employee's position or length of service,” the statement quotes.
During the check, a representative of the SBU confirmed the absence of evidence linking the NABU employee with the Russian special services.
NABU began interviewing the employee for further decision regarding their fate. However, the SBU advises against any actions to avoid hindering their work in identifying other connections of the former UDO employee.
The NABU investigation into the possible involvement of the employee with the Russian special services found no evidence. The Security Service also confirmed the absence of confirmed connections. The investigation continues, which may have further implications for the employee's service.
