'They have only one tool' - military explained the psychology of Russians

The main characteristic of the mindset of Russians is ambivalence. They have learned to take pride in their backwardness. But they have no other language than violence. This was stated in an interview with Gazeta.ua by Konstantin Ulyanov under the pseudonym Valde Khan. He is the head of the club for sports baton and knife fighting Fratria Fortis. He is the author of the psychological training course and combat stress prevention 'Armored Mind'. He wrote a book of the same name about combat stress and adaptation of military personnel. He serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

'The main feature of the mentality of Russians is ambivalence (a mental state of duality; coexistence of opposite relationships or feelings. Gazeta.ua). They know how to quickly reverse colors when needed. On one hand, they try to present themselves as knights in shining armor, while on the other, they boast about Bucha. They are able to call meanness 'ingenuity'. They use this well in information-psychological operations. Russians are currently saying that they 'gave up' Kherson because there were supposedly American mercenaries there. And this idea saves them from realizing that they are losing the war to Ukrainians. Because they cannot admit this,' says Ulyanov.

Russians sit and mold horses out of dung, but they can take pride in this, says the military.

'Russians are objectively a culturally and technologically backward people - they understand this. But they have learned to turn this into an advantage. The worse they are off, the more they want to showcase this to the world. The more primitive a person is, the fewer tools they have. Russians have no other language than violence.
