Sheskharis Terminal: Crude Shipments Come to a Standstill

According to ХВИЛЯ: On Friday, after a drone attack, Novorossiysk's port stopped loading and receiving crude oil, halting exports from the Sheskharis terminal. Storage reservoirs had already reached their limits, leaving no room for additional crude. Sheskharis is Russia's key Black Sea export hub, moving about 700,000 barrels per day. One tanker that was due to load at the port sailed into open water after the attack attempt on the terminal.

The city administration issued another drone alert for residents, as the port zone remained under threat. The continued strikes underscore how exposed Russian energy export infrastructure has become. In July, Novorossiysk crude loadings reached nearly 1 million barrels per day, compared with about 800,000 barrels per day in June. The port handles:
