Ukraine and the UN agree on a reparations mechanism for victims of sexual violence

According to Міністерство соц. політики: The Ukrainian Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity, Denys Uliutin, held a meeting with a UN representative dealing with issues of sexual violence. The main topic of discussion was the adoption of a law on sexual violence related to Russian aggression.

At the meeting, mechanisms for supporting victims of sexual violence under law No. 4067 were discussed, as well as providing them with comprehensive support at the legal, social, psychological, and medical levels.

Issues regarding the protection of Ukrainian women and children abroad, cooperation with the UN in combating human trafficking, and compensation for damages caused by Russian aggression were also discussed. The parties agreed on support for Ukraine in implementing the necessary measures in this matter.
