Police in the UK seizes 2.4 tons of cocaine from Panama

In the UK, law enforcement agencies have seized one of the largest cocaine shipments in the country's history. The police confiscated drugs worth nearly 100 million pounds. This was reported by 'Glaсkоm' citing SkyNews.
More than 2.4 tons of cocaine were found at the London Gateway seaport, located in East London. The ship arrived from Panama, and the drugs were carefully concealed among bulky containers. To reach the hidden stash, specialists had to remove 37 containers.
The police in Belgium seized 11.5 tons of cocaine in the port of Antwerp. This shipment was transported across the ocean from Guyana and was detained after arrival. The drugs belonged to an organized crime group led by a former head of the drug enforcement department.
Recent news shows that law enforcement agencies in the UK and Belgium are actively fighting against cocaine smuggling, uncovering large drug shipments. The detention of such large batches helps maintain community safety and prevent the spread of dangerous substances.
