Ukrainian boxer became European U-19 champion: how he overcame his opponents

According to НОК: In October 2025, Oleksandr Slyesarev was awarded the title of the best young athlete of the month. He became the European youth (U-19) boxing champion in the weight category over 90 kg.
In the final match at the European Championship under the auspices of World Boxing, Oleksandr demonstrated his superiority over his opponents and won the 'gold'. This allowed him to become the first on the podium of the continental championship.
“The highest award is to hear our Anthem on the international stage thanks to my sports achievements. My special, deep gratitude goes to our Defenders. If it weren't for their courage, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to perform and even engage in sports. I also thank the Federation for their support, and my coach for his faith, inspiration, and titanic work!”
Oleksandr Slyesarev received well-deserved recognition as the best young athlete of the month in October 2025. His victory at the European Boxing Championship impressed the audience and proved his professionalism and great talent.
