Shevchenko and Erlingsson sign memorandum: what was agreed upon by UAF and Iceland

According to glavcom.ua: Ukraine and Iceland have signed a memorandum of cooperation in football ahead of an important qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. UAF President Andriy Shevchenko and FA Iceland President Thorvaldur Erlingsson signed the document, promising collaboration in organizing tournaments, training coaches, and exchanging experiences. The partnership also includes joint charitable projects and the development of football in both countries.

In addition to this, the Ukrainian national football team achieved an important victory over the Icelandic team with a score of 2-0 in the decisive qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. Goals from Zubkov and Hutsulyak were crucial in this match, supporting the Ukrainian team's chances of participation in the World Cup.
