Kyiv High School Student Sets Record as Youngest Ukrainian to Achieve DALF C2 in French

Taisiia Fedorova’s Remarkable Accomplishment

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Taisiia Fedorova, a student at Kyiv Lyceum No. 49, has passed the internationally recognized DALF C2 exam in French, demonstrating mastery at the highest level of the CEFR scale. This milestone earned her official recognition from the National Registry of Records as the youngest Ukrainian to hold a certified C2 proficiency in French. Taisiia has been studying French since she was six years old and, by age 14, had also achieved a C1 level in English, earning a Grade A on the Cambridge B2 First (FCE) exam.

Beyond her linguistic expertise, Taisiia has been exploring programming from an early age, starting at six. She has developed skills in 3D graphics and UX/UI design and is currently pursuing Fullstack Development studies. Taisiia builds complete web applications, handling everything from user interfaces to server-side components and databases. Among her projects is a specialized tool for analyzing code repositories, featuring interactive visualizations of file relationships. She has also led team programming projects. Impressively, Taisiia completed Harvard University’s CS50x course with top grades and aims to specialize in artificial intelligence development.

Other outstanding young record holders in Ukraine include:

• Anastasiia Konokhova from Vinnytsia, who became the youngest Ukrainian to officially validate C1-level English proficiency at just 13 years and 11 months old;
• 11-year-old Kira Kasynets from Zakarpattia, who set both Ukrainian and world records by reciting a 1,328-word tongue twister in 7 minutes and 35 seconds from memory.

These achievements highlight the exceptional talents emerging among Ukraine’s youth, actively advancing their skills across various fields.
