According to Главком: On January 2, 2023, as a result of a strike by 'Iskanders' on Kharkiv, 22-year-old Anastasia Parkhomenko and her three-year-old son Maxim were killed. The strike hit a residential high-rise building in the Kyiv district. The boy's stepfather, Timofiy, survived as he was not in the apartment during the strike.
Anastasia and Maxim hailed from Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region. They left for Poland at the beginning of the war but returned to Ukraine. After returning to Kharkiv, Anastasia worked for two months after her internship. According to Tetyana Volkova, who knew Anastasia, she was 'such a bright' and 'such a decent' person.
