According to glavcom.ua: Ukraine has officially appealed to the UN Security Council requesting to urgently hold a separate meeting to discuss the large-scale night missile and drone strike by Russia on Kyiv, which occurred on the night of July 31. This was stated by the Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Kristina Haivyshe, in a comment to Ukrinform.

She noted that during the meeting of the UN Security Council convened by Russia, Ukraine demanded to hold a separate meeting on the real threats to peace and security, hoping for a prompt response.

"The night strike was one of the most powerful - the Russians launched 309 strike drones and 8 cruise missiles from various directions," emphasized Haivyshe.

Later, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybyha, confirmed that Ukraine initiated the urgent meeting of the Security Council in response to yet another wave of terror from the Russian Federation, which resulted in casualties and destruction in the capital.

"The emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the agenda item 'Supporting Peace and Security in Ukraine' will take place on August 1," the minister announced.

We remind you that on the night of July 31, the Russian occupying army again attacked Kyiv. The massive combined strike by the Russians last night claimed the lives of at least 16 people, and 159 others were injured.

Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachенко, reported that there are currently consequences of the Russian combined attack on more than 27 locations in Kyiv, with the most affected being the Solomensky, Sviatoshynsky, Shevchenkivskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts.

Ukraine has appealed to the UN regarding the missile and drone strike by Russia on Kyiv. Ukrainian representatives are demanding an urgent meeting of the Security Council to discuss the situation and hope for a prompt response. The Russians launched over 300 strike drones and 8 missiles in Kyiv, with a heavy toll on human lives and destruction in the capital.
