Ukraine took ninth place in the Futsal World Championship for athletes with hearing impairments
According to glavcom.ua: In Montesilvano (Italy), the Futsal World Championship for athletes with hearing impairments has concluded. The competition took place from June 14 to 27 and brought together 18 teams, which were divided into three groups. The Ukraine team was placed in group B, where they played against the teams of Kuwait, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and Finland.
After the group stage, the Ukrainian team finished 4th in their sextet and advanced to the consolation round for 9-16 places. In this round, they achieved three victories, earning them 9th place overall in the championship.
Group stage: Kuwait - Ukraine - 5:3, Sweden - Ukraine - 3:1, Ukraine - Kazakhstan - 1:1, Brazil - Ukraine - 4:3, Ukraine - Finland - 17:2.
Consolation round (for 9-16 places): Ukraine - Argentina - 5:2, Ukraine - Japan - 7:2, Ukraine - Kazakhstan - 6:2.
The composition of the Ukrainian team: Oleg Trily, Yegor Tretyakov, Sergey Bayev, Dmitry Klimentyev, Ivan Rudevich, Oleg Grynyuk, Vladimir Riy, Bohdan Mishchenko, Dmitry Belousov, Alexander Vereshchaka, Roman Stryiskyi, Dmitry Ukrainianets.
Champions League qualifying round for 'Dynamo'
In the second qualifying round of the Champions League, 'Dynamo' will play against the winner of the pair 'Zalgiris' - 'Hamrun Spartans'. The matches are scheduled for July 22/23 and 29/30 and will be the first official games of the new season for the Kyiv team. The first match will take place away, and the second - at home.
At the Futsal World Championship, the Ukrainian team demonstrated dignity, finishing in 9th place, which reflects the high level of training of athletes with hearing impairments in Ukraine. For 'Dynamo', the time for important matches in the Champions League is coming, where the team hopes to show its strength and excel with a successful performance.
