According to Главком: In the first such exchange in five months, Ukraine has secured the return of 157 of its citizens from Russian captivity. The group includes both military personnel and civilians, with the majority having been held since 2022, highlighting the prolonged nature of their ordeal. According to Kyrylo Budanov, 139 of the freed Ukrainians had been imprisoned since 2022. Among the returnees are 19 unlawfully convicted defenders, 15 of whom had received life sentences. The exchange was made possible through negotiations involving Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, which agreed on the repatriation of 314 prisoners in total.
