Repatriation of 1003 bodies of Ukrainian military
According to glavcom.ua: Today, December 18, 1003 bodies of military personnel have been returned to Ukraine, which, according to the Russian side, belonged to Ukrainian servicemen. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War (KSHPPW).
Representatives of law enforcement agencies together with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will carry out all necessary examinations and conduct the identification of the repatriated bodies.
Successful work of the Coordination Headquarters
The repatriation measures have been successfully conducted thanks to the joint efforts of the staff of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, as well as cooperation with the Unified Center at the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, and other structures.
Recall that on November 20, a thousand bodies of military personnel were returned to Ukraine, which, according to the Russian side, belonged to Ukrainian servicemen. In the near future, law enforcement investigators will conduct the necessary examinations and identification of the repatriated bodies together with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov announced that with the mediation of partners in Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, the process of exchanging prisoners will be resumed, as a result of which 1200 Ukrainians will be returned from Russian captivity.
According to reports, Ukrainian servicemen will be able to receive the bodies of repatriated compatriots thanks to successful coordination between departments and experts.
