Today, November 22, 2025, a successful return of citizens from Belarus took place. As a result of negotiations, the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War ensured the return of 31 civilians back to Ukraine, as reported by 'Glavkom'.

Among the released individuals are people of various ages who had been held in Belarus for varying lengths of time. Some of them lost their freedom for 2-11 years.

The released citizens include individuals with serious illnesses, including oncology.

Thanks for the support

The Coordination Headquarters expressed gratitude to the United States of America and President Donald Trump for their assistance in bringing citizens back home from the territory of Belarus and Russia. Thanks were also expressed to all government agencies involved in this matter.

The freed citizens will receive the necessary medical assistance and support during the rehabilitation process. The Coordination Headquarters continues to work on the return of all Ukrainians home.

It is worth recalling that the dictator of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, signed a decree on the pardon of 31 Ukrainians who are returning to their homeland today. This was reported by Lukashenko's press secretary, Natalia Eismont.

The successful return of citizens from Belarus was made possible through cooperation between Ukrainian and international structures that facilitate the return of citizens to their homeland and provide them with the necessary support and assistance.
