Ukraine Announces New Consular Leadership Appointments

According to МЗС: Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has formally presented consular patents to six newly appointed Ukrainian Consuls General. These assignments cover diplomatic missions in Shanghai, Istanbul, Düsseldorf, Barcelona, Naples, and Hamburg.

The following individuals have been named to these key posts:

  • Illia Kvas – appointed to Shanghai
  • Heorhii Filatov – will represent Ukraine in Istanbul
  • Oksana Tarasiuk – assigned to Düsseldorf
  • Olena Tronina – posted to Barcelona
  • Larysa Polishchuk – serving in Naples
  • Vitalii Remel – taking up the role in Hamburg

During the ceremony, Sybiha emphasized the critical nature of their work, stating that

“defending the rights and interests of Ukrainians abroad remains our unconditional priority.”

He further expressed confidence that

“these new heads of consular missions will operate with energy, effectiveness, and a strong focus on people’s needs.”
