Ukraine Allocates UAH 55.8 Billion to Pension Payments

Social Benefit Status as of June 18, 2023
According to Пенсії (RSS): As of June 18, 2023, substantial funding has been directed toward social programs. Specifically, UAH 55.8 billion was allocated for pension payments, distributed as follows:
- UAH 8.9 billion was disbursed through Ukrposhta JSC;
- UAH 46.9 billion was distributed via authorized banks.
Additional financing covered:
- UAH 1.4 billion for housing subsidies and benefits;
- UAH 2.7 billion for insurance payments, including UAH 1.3 billion for sick leave compensation;
- UAH 9.3 billion for social assistance and other payments.
In June, 1,064,600 services were provided to individuals who contacted the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
These figures highlight the government's active efforts to uphold social welfare, especially amid economic challenges. Pensions and subsidies are crucial for ensuring citizens' financial well-being and maintaining the stability of the social system. Moreover, this financial support can help boost consumer demand and positively influence the country's overall economic performance.
