Humanitarian Operation in Oleshky
According to Рубрика — Суспільство: A joint delegation representing Ukraine, the United States, and the Russian Federation has arrived at the dispatch point for humanitarian aid destined for the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region. The aid delivery is scheduled for October 30. On October 29, the Ukrainian delegation, led by Dmitry Lubynec, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, set out toward Oleshky to carry out this humanitarian mission. Due to frontline restrictions and mine threats, Lubynec accepted a route passing through Russian territory.
In preparation for the operation, a ceasefire was imposed in Oleshky on October 27 to ensure safe passage. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine urged the public to exercise caution with information and avoid sharing details about the movements of civilians and humanitarian convoys. On October 28, Dmitry Lubynec reported that the 30-hour ceasefire in Oleshky concluded without incidents, and demining efforts in the area are progressing successfully.

The establishment of a ceasefire and ongoing demining are essential components that underscore the importance of safety in successfully delivering humanitarian assistance.
As the humanitarian operation unfolds in Oleshky, the call for a ceasefire has gained international attention. Notably, Pope Leo XIV has appealed to Moscow to cease hostilities, emphasizing the necessity of allowing humanitarian aid to reach those in need and facilitating the evacuation of civilians. This highlights the urgent international efforts to alleviate the suffering of the affected population amidst ongoing conflict.
