Ukraine has entered the top three world leaders in honey exports: who outran

According to hvylya.net: Ukraine is recognized as one of the largest honey exporters in the world. According to the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB), in 2024, our country ranked third in the world in honey export volume, sending abroad 85.8 thousand tons of this product.

The leaders in export volumes remain China (169.6 thousand tons) and India (94.8 thousand tons). Ukraine has surpassed Argentina and Vietnam, taking the well-deserved third place.

'After the lifting of customs restrictions by the European Union, Ukrainian beekeepers gained the opportunity to effectively operate in international markets,' specialists explained.

The main importing countries of Ukrainian honey over the past year were Europe and the USA - the leaders were Germany, the USA, Poland, France, and Belgium.

Ukrainian honey was also highly valued in Turkey, the United Kingdom, Japan, Switzerland, Canada, Qatar, and Jordan. However, this year there are restrictions on exports to EU countries, but their size has increased. These measures are important to maintain the competitiveness of Ukrainian honey in the European market.

Ukraine turned out to be one of the largest honey exporters in the world, taking third place. After gaining access to European markets, Ukrainian beekeepers started actively exporting honey abroad, which contributed to improving positions in the international arena. It is now important to ensure support and development of domestic beekeeping for further strengthening Ukraine as a key player in the world honey market.
