Ukraine has risen to fourth place in the global ranking of states by bitcoin reserves in 2025. This is reported by the analytical platform BiTBO. According to the estimates of the analytical platform BiTBO, the country has accumulated 46,300 BTC worth about $4.6 billion. This has allowed it to surpass several economically developed countries and strengthen Ukraine's position in the digital asset market.

Bitcoin reserves of countries: who is on top in 2025

The largest BTC reserves are held by:

  • USA — 326,500 BTC (over $28 billion);

  • China — 190,000 BTC ($16.6 billion);

  • United Kingdom — over 61,000 BTC ($5.4 billion);

  • Ukraine — 46,300 BTC ($4.6 billion).

Analysts note that states are increasingly integrating crypto assets into their financial systems, using them as a tool for reserve and capital mobilization.

The BiTBO report emphasizes: crypto assets are gradually taking a significant place in the financial management strategies of various countries. Ukraine is demonstrating a steady growth of digital reserves, which can enhance its financial resilience during wartime challenges.

Previously, the Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading a bill on the legalization of virtual assets. Meanwhile, bitcoin itself fell below $90,000 in November — the first time in seven months, losing nearly 30% from the October peak.

Earlier, we reported that the crypto exchange Binance started advising its users to use the Ukrainian crypto wallet Trustee Plus.
