Україна відкриває нові можливості для подорожей: доступність для всіх стає реальністю.

Ukraine is moving towards barrier-free accessibility! The DART company and UN Tourism organization have joined forces to hold the International Webinar "Accessible Tourism for All: Focus on Ukraine", where experts from Europe and Ukraine discussed how to make tourism accessible for everyone.

National barrier-free strategies in Ukraine are already becoming a reality, in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: the National Action Plan 2025 and the Barrier-Free Environment Strategy - Horizon 2030. This means universal design, accessible infrastructure, inclusive tourist services, and a large number of success stories.

According to data from the Ministry of Social Policy, the number of people with disabilities in Ukraine has increased by 600,000 since the beginning of the full-scale war - from 2.8 million to 3.4 million. The issue of barrier-free accessibility in Ukraine has gained significant relevance over the past almost four years; inclusion is becoming a necessity. All sectors are seeking solutions so that every person in Ukraine feels comfortable and has access to everything, says DART Chair Natalia Tabaka.

According to the Executive Director of UN Tourism Zorica Urosevic, "Barrier-free accessibility is not something isolated; it concerns every person. Tourism must be accessible for all."

Ukraine is actively implementing international accessibility standards and taking the first steps towards creating accessible tourism for all citizens.

In short: Ukraine is implementing national barrier-free strategies in tourism, and with the increase in the number of people with disabilities, the issue of accessibility becomes increasingly relevant. The country is moving towards creating an environment where tourism will be accessible for everyone without exceptions.
