According to hvylya.net: It is known that law enforcement agencies in the Odessa region reacted to the widespread among citizens notions about the possibility of obtaining a driver's license over the Internet. Residents of the region were wondering whether it is possible to undergo training and take exams online, without leaving home. However, police explained that this is impossible according to the legislation.

'Obtaining a driver's license is not a formality, but a serious responsibility for road safety, so any attempts to circumvent legal requirements are unacceptable,'

- emphasized police representatives.

According to Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 515, Ukrainian legislation does not provide for the possibility of taking exams for the right to drive vehicles remotely. All procedures must take place in specialized centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under close supervision.

The process of obtaining a driver's license

Candidates must first pass a theoretical exam, then undergo practical training at a driving school, which concludes with a practical test at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The first driver's license is issued only for two years, after which a permanent one can be obtained. Registration for procedures is carried out through the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or a mobile application, but the process itself is in-person. To pass, it is necessary to have a passport, identification code, and medical certificate.

Drivers are also reminded that while operating a vehicle, it is not advisable to eat or drink to avoid fines.

The notions about the possibility of obtaining a driver's license online are just a myth. All candidates must undergo testing and training in specialized centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which indicates the seriousness of the process and the importance of responsibility for road safety.
