Ukrainians have become more active in responding to job vacancies in manufacturing, logistics, and construction. Over the year, the number of responses to certain positions increased by up to five times, and the median salary of assemblers reached 31,500 UAH. Interest in blue-collar jobs is growing against the backdrop of salary increases in this sector. This is reported by OLX Work.

Which job vacancies Ukrainians responded to most often in August 2026

The number of responses to assembler vacancies increased the most: in August 2026, there were five times more than in the same month last year. The median salary for this position was 31,500 UAH.

Candidates responded three times more actively to vacancies for copywriters, retail administrators, and system administrators. The median salaries were 20,300 UAH, 25,700 UAH, and 32,500 UAH, respectively.

Among blue-collar professions, the number of responses to mechanic vacancies increased by 97%, to assemblers by 66%, to helpers by 36%, to excavator operators by 32%, and to CNC machine operators by 27%.

The median salaries for these workers ranged from 30,000 UAH for helpers and assemblers to 50,000 UAH for excavator operators. Meanwhile, the increase in the number of responses does not mean that there are already enough candidates: employers still find it difficult to find workers for some vacancies.

How the demand for jobs in construction and other sectors has changed

In construction, the number of responses to vacancies for laborers increased by 35%, for installers by 31%, and for builders by 22%. The median salaries were 30,000 UAH for laborers, 47,500 UAH for installers, and 55,000 UAH for builders.

Responses to realtor vacancies also increased actively, with a growth of 65%, to loaders by 42%, and to sales managers by 38%. In the education sector, the number of responses for tutors increased by 29%, and for product experts by 28%. In medicine and pharmaceuticals, the rate increased for pharmacists by 21% and dentists by 19%.

OLX analysts associate the interest in blue-collar positions with higher salaries amid a labor shortage. At the same time, job choice is also influenced by working conditions, career growth opportunities, employment format, and housing availability. Job vacancies and salaries in different regions of Ukraine differ significantly, especially in manufacturing, logistics, and trade.
