Ukrainians can receive up to 1800 hryvnias for utility payment: how to apply for assistance

In the Drohobych community in Lviv region, certain categories of residents can receive a one-time assistance for housing and utility payments - 1400 or 1800 UAH. This is a local payment, separate from the state utility subsidies. The conditions for applying are reported by 'On Pension'.

The compensation is provided by the Drohobych City Council according to the procedure approved by decision No. 3689 dated December 11, 2025. The payment is assigned once a year, and the funds are transferred to the recipient's personal bank account.

Who can receive assistance in the Drohobych community

Residents of the community who belong to one of the following categories can apply:

• families where two or more unemployed people with disabilities are registered, if among them there is a person with a disability of group I or II or a child with a disability;

• families where two or more children with disabilities are registered;

• single unemployed people with disabilities of group I or II, if their income over the six months prior to applying does not exceed the amount of the tax social benefit;

• widows and widowers of political prisoners and UPA warriors who have not remarried after the death of their spouse.

How much is paid and what documents to prepare

The amount of compensation depends on the category of the applicant:

• 1800 UAH - for families with unemployed people or children with disabilities, as well as single unemployed people with disabilities of group I or II who meet the requirements;

• 1400 UAH - for widows and widowers of political prisoners and UPA warriors who have not remarried.

The application to the head of the social protection department is submitted by the applicant themselves or their legal representative. It must include documents that confirm identity and entitlement to the payment.

The list of documents depends on the category of the recipient:

• For single people with disabilities: passport, tax identification number, conclusion from the MSEC, labor book or information about the last place of work, income certificate for the previous six months.

• For families with people or children with disabilities: passport, tax identification number, conclusion from the MSEC or medical conclusion, labor book, certificate of residence registration for the child; for children under 14 years - birth certificate.

• For widows and widowers: passport, tax identification number, certificate of entitlement to benefits and information about family status after the death of the spouse.

Documents are submitted along with copies for verification. If necessary, social protection workers may check the material and living conditions of the applicant.

In Stebnyk, applications can be submitted at Mazepa Street, 8. Phones: 441009 and 095 046 14 80. Working hours: Monday-Thursday - from 8:00 to 17:00, Friday - from 8:00 to 15:45 without a lunch break. The community also offers other assistance programs for housing and utility payments; however, the conditions for this compensation are determined specifically by the Drohobych City Council.
