Ukrainians are refueling less: fuel sales at gas stations have sharply decreased

According to hvylya.net: In the first half of 2025, fuel sales at gas stations in Ukraine decreased by 7%, amounting to 3.62 billion liters. The total cost of sold fuel remained approximately the same at 182.9 billion hryvnias, reports enkorr citing data from the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
Cash register operators found that the most fuel was sold in June. Compared to the previous year, all regions of the country recorded a decrease in fuel sales. The leaders in sales volumes were Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Lviv region.
Compared to 2024, all regions of Ukraine are experiencing a decrease in sales, with Odesa region showing the worst dynamics - a decrease of 18% to a level of 214.1 million liters.
In addition, traditionally the top places in fuel sales are occupied by Kyiv region with a result of 785.7 million liters (a decrease of 1%).
The overall trend of decreasing fuel sales at gas stations in Ukraine in the first half of 2025 indicates a slowdown in activity in the fuel materials market in the country.
