Ukrainian survived 4 days in the Maramureș mountains without water: how he was rescued
According to glavcom.ua: In the Maramureș mountains near the summit of Pip Ivan, rescuers provided assistance to a 26-year-old Ukrainian who spent four days there without water and shelter. The weakened man received help from rescue teams and border police.
Due to the poor health condition of the victim, a decision was made to evacuate the Ukrainian by helicopter, as a ground operation would require significant mobilization of another 8 mountain rescuers and would take many hours.
The Ukrainian is now down and receiving necessary medical assistance. It's worth noting that earlier in Romania, three Ukrainians were also stranded in the Maramureș mountains. All of them were rescued after receiving assistance from rescuers.
The critical situation for the Ukrainian who got lost in the Maramureș mountains ended happily thanks to the promptness and professionalism of the rescuers and border police. The evacuation of the victim by helicopter helped avoid additional complications and quickly delivered the person to adequate medical care.
