The Commander of the National Guard on the Key Needs of the Army: How Ukraine Must Respond This Winter

According to МВС: Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko, the head of the National Guard of Ukraine, noted that to counter the Russian Federation, Ukraine needs more drones and strategic changes in tactics.

“In modern warfare, it is essential to be very flexible and capable of adapting - and this works. Standing still is not an option. You either act, or you don’t,” emphasized the head of the National Guard.

According to General Pivnenko, it is important to improve tactics and use drones on the front line, especially during periods of worsening weather conditions. Furthermore, he noted that the National Guard is one of the key components of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which has successfully transitioned to a new troop structure.

Oleksandr Pivnenko also added that the planned reforms will contribute to strengthening the country's defense capabilities through improving the management system and increasing opportunities for career development for young commanders, taking into account combat experience.

Ukraine needs more drones and constant improvement of tactics to counter Russian aggression. The Commander of the National Guard emphasized the importance of flexibility and adaptability in military actions, as well as highlighting positive changes in the guard due to the implementation of new strategies and technologies.
