Ukraine won medals at the U20 World Championship in three wrestling disciplines

On the first day of the finals of the U20 World Championship in three wrestling disciplines, Ukrainian athletes showed impressive results. Nadiya Sokolovska became the champion in the 76 kg category, while Irina Borysyuk won bronze in the 65 kg category.

Success of Ukrainian athletes

Ukrainian athletes also demonstrated impressive results on the international stage. Participation in the European Youth Olympic Festival brought the country a place in the top 10 overall medal standings. Our team won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, finishing in 10th place overall.

This performance can be considered one of the most successful, as Ukraine was able to win 25 awards for the first time in participation in festivals. Athletes performed best in judo, as well as in other sports such as swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis.
