According to glavcom.ua: A 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen was detained at Bali's international airport while trying to bring 2 kilograms of a synthetic drug called 4-CMC into Indonesia. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing the publication Patrolipost.

The woman was arrested when she arrived at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport's arrival terminal.

When the tourist's suitcase was scanned, an alarm reportedly went off indicating the presence of a dangerous or suspicious item. After a thorough inspection, a package containing the substances was found. Laboratory tests revealed that this is a new type of drug that causes hypertension, tachycardia, agitation, anxiety, aggression, psychosis, hallucinations, and insomnia.

During interrogation, the Odessa resident admitted that the substances were intended for distribution in Bali, targeting foreign tourists.

She was acting on instructions from contacts abroad, so the authorities in Indonesia are coordinating with Interpol to track the network.

According to the drug laws in effect in Indonesia, the girl faces the maximum penalty of death by firing squad or life imprisonment. However, more often, courts impose prison sentences of 12-20 years.

It is noteworthy that cannabis was found in Haribo candy in the Netherlands, as well as in Belgium and Luxembourg.

'Glavkom' reported that the Dutch football champion Ronnie Stam from 'Twente' was sentenced to seven years in prison for drug trafficking and money laundering.
