Ukrainian karateka Angelika Terlyuga won a silver medal at the World Games 2025 and is celebrating this success with her family - daughter Nicole and husband Volodymyr Zaretsky. This news was reported by the portal 'Glavkom'. It is worth noting that at the previous championship in Birmingham 2022, Terlyuga also delighted everyone with her victory, and after giving birth in December 2024, she returned to the top. In the semifinals, the karateka defeated Chinese athlete Yuchun Wei, but in the final lost to German Mia Bitsch, winning silver. Ukraine ranked 10th in the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. The successes of Ukrainian athletes impressed at the World Games, where they won 25 medals in various sports, including 6 medals in judo. In the overall medal standings of the World Summer Universiade, our team ranked 14th, winning 12 medals.
