Ukraine received $44.9 billion in 2025: what the funds will be used for in 2026

The Government of Ukraine, together with international partners, held a meeting to discuss issues of budget support for 2026, assistance to the energy sector, and reforms. The event was attended by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliya Svyrydenko, and other government ministers.

Budget support and needs

Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko emphasized that the stability of the state budget in 2025 is the result of joint efforts by the government and international partners. The attracted international financial support amounts to $44.9 billion, including assistance to the security and defense sector.

“The draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2026 provides for priority funding for the security and defense sector, which constitutes the largest part of all expenditures. Partners also discussed additional support for strengthening energy networks and restoring infrastructure,” Marchenko emphasized.

Additional support and reforms
