The tournament concluded in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Competing alongside Romanian player Bianca Mei Rosu, the duo earned a silver medal in the women's doubles event.

En route to the final, the Ukrainian-Romanian pair faced a tense semifinal match against the team of Alexandra Chiriacova (Moldova) and Sara Tokić (Slovenia), winning 3-2 (6:11, 11:5, 11:4, 8:11, 12:10). In the gold medal match, Matyunina and Rosu went up against the Polish duo of Anna Brzyska and Zuzanna Wielgos.
