Ukrainian hackers attacked a Russian UAV manufacturer: a trace of China found
Ukrainian hackers from BO Team, together with the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance (UCA) and the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, struck the Russian company Gaskar Group, which produces unmanned aerial vehicles. During the attack, they targeted critical information and paralyzed the company's network and server infrastructure. According to BO Team, the attack caused significant damage to the Russian company.
Hackers destroyed over 250 hosts
After the intervention, more than 250 hosts, including virtual servers and workstations, were taken down. The group also reported issues with the functioning of 20 mikrotik routers.
“We destroyed more than 47 TB of important information and disabled production and auxiliary systems. Now we have access to the lists of company employees and their families,” the hackers stated.
Chinese assistance
It was revealed that Gaskar Group collaborated with China in the production and training of specialists. According to received information, the Chinese transferred technologies to the Ukrainian hackers.
Warning for employees
BO Team issued a warning to Gaskar Group employees that they will not go unpunished. The hackers noted that they have confidential information about the company's staff and reminded them of the possible consequences.
“The Sword of Damocles is already hanging over you, we know everything. No one will escape punishment,” they warned.
Ukrainian hackers demonstrated impressive skills in the field of cybersecurity, successfully attacking a Russian company that cooperates with China in the production of UAVs.
