Ukrainian carriers will receive priority at the border: who will pass faster
The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development has made revolutionary changes to the operation of the 'eQueue' system, which will begin reshuffling queues at crossing points. Order No. 1028, registered on June 20, establishes a strict system of priorities and penalties aimed at ending the chaos of fictitious bookings and ensuring predictability in crossing the border.
In the new hierarchy of carriers, status is important. Now, trucks with perishable goods from enterprises with AEO status (Authorized Economic Operator) will have priority, while ordinary cargoes will move in queues behind them. Priority will also be given to those who have documents for transit shipments. The new rules are aimed at avoiding chaos and ensuring order at the border.
The new system should also address the issue of fictitious bookings by introducing strict limitations and penalties. Now, rule violators face restrictions on registration and the ability to queue. The system update aims for more predictable border management, but it may create problems for small carriers and those who inadvertently break the rules.
The technical implementation of the changes has already begun, but the exact launch date of the updated system is still unknown.
