Ukrainian divers won four medals in Germany: details of success

Ukrainian divers performed successfully at the 12th international tournament Ulla Klinger Cup 2025 in Aachen, Germany. Check it out:

Over 60 athletes from 8 countries participated in the competition. Ukraine was represented by two athletes from Zaporizhzhia, Yana Hovtvan and Sofia Shynkarenko:

• "Gold": Sofia Shynkarenko (platform, group A (16-18 years).

• "Gold": Yana Hovtvan (1m springboard, open group).

• "Gold": Yana Hovtvan (1m springboard, group A).

• "Bronze": Sofia Shynkarenko (1m springboard, group A).

After a successful performance at the tournament, Ukraine entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing in 10th place and winning 23 medals.

Successes at the World Summer Universiade

Ukraine showed its second-best performance in history at the World Summer Universiade, earning 12 medals in 2025. The best result was achieved by the Ukrainian team in 2019, winning 25 awards.

On the last day of competitions, Ukrainian athlete Mykola Rushchak from Sumy won bronze in the 20-kilometer race walk, adding another medal to the team's collection. Ukraine finished 14th in the overall medal standings.
