Young Ukrainian Athletes Set New Records on Their Path to the European Championships

According to Федерація Легкої Атлетики: The second day of the Ukrainian Youth Athletics Championships has concluded, featuring athletes born in 2009 and younger who are competing for spots at the European Youth Championships. That event is scheduled for July 16–19 in Italy. During the competition, personal bests were achieved in the high jump and the 110-meter hurdles.
Competition Results
In the girls' high jump, Mariia Bezkopylna claimed the gold medal by clearing 1.77 meters on her third attempt. Oleksandra Karlash took silver with a jump of 1.74 meters, while Anastasiia Kovalchuk earned bronze at 1.71 meters. Among the boys, Ivan Donii proved to be the top jumper, soaring to a height of 2.12 meters. Yurii Maistrenko secured second place with 2.09 meters, and Ivan Pavliukov finished third at 2.06 meters.
In the 110-meter hurdles, Vladyslav Teslenko crossed the finish line first with a time of 14.33 seconds. Every athlete in the high jump set a new personal record, highlighting the strong level of preparation among participants.
