According to Главком: Goalkeeper Nazar Domchak has traded Lviv's Karpaty for Prague's Slavia, signing a contract that runs until the summer of 2031. The transfer fee is estimated at €5 million. Domchak becomes the sixth Ukrainian to play for the club, following in the footsteps of:
- Oleksandr Granovskyi
- Eduard Sobol
- Ruslan Rotan
- Taras Kacharaba
- Maksym Talovierov
Slavia's Achievements and Domchak's Career
In the 2025/26 season, Slavia claimed the league title and is now preparing for the Champions League group stage in the upcoming campaign. During the previous Champions League edition, the team exited after the group stage, recording three wins and five losses.
Domchak made 27 appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League for Karpaty, conceding 27 goals while keeping 14 clean sheets. At just 19 years old, he has already debuted for Ukraine's U-19 and U-21 national teams.
The young shot-stopper expressed enthusiasm about the move, stating:
“Slavia presented me with a very clear and promising development plan that appealed to me and my family. I hope my adaptation will be very quick. I’ve worked hard to take this step forward. Now I’m at Slavia and I’m looking forward to this huge challenge.” - Nazar Domchak
Slavia's leadership also shared optimism regarding the transfer. Club representative Přemysl Kovář voiced satisfaction with signing Domchak: “We are very pleased that he has tied his future to Slavia. We believe in a project as successful as the one with Antonín Kinský. He is young and needs to adapt to Slavia and the Czech Republic. But we see enormous potential in him.”
In other developments, Cherkasy LNZ secured the silver medals in the Ukrainian Premier League after a narrow victory over Kyiv's Obolon in the final round, with the only goal scored by midfielder Mykytyshyn. Meanwhile, Dynamo Kyiv triumphed over Chernihiv in the 2025/26 Ukrainian Cup final, where midfielder Buyalskyi netted a brace and winger Yarmolenko added a third.
Domchak's transfer to Slavia opens up new opportunities for the young goalkeeper, who will have a chance to prove himself on the European stage. The contract until 2031 reflects the club's long-term commitment to developing talent. A successful adaptation could mark a key milestone in Domchak's career, while also boosting the team's competitiveness in future seasons. Given Slavia's strong focus on young players, such transfers may serve as a catalyst for more Ukrainians joining international clubs.
As Slavia Prague welcomes Nazar Domchak to their ranks, the club is keen to build on its recent successes. The young goalkeeper's arrival is part of a broader strategy to enhance the team's performance in the Champions League.
